Ashvin Seeboo, NCC’s new goodwill messenger is the heart and mind behind a new calendar for the organisation. The set of 12 photographs used to illustrate this new calendar has been captured with a sense of knowing and artistic eye for details which reflects style and personality.
In his picture compositions, Ashvin uses nature’s overwhelming beauty to impact the feel of his image . He also uses natural light aesthetically to give new life in the picture frames. Ashvin shows that he has a good sense of image balance, when he merges the landscape movement, symmetry and curves together to draw attention to points of interest in his photo composition. He keeps his main subject in the foreground with clever use of monochrome portions as background to convey certain emotions; as he contrasts his subject with texture to make the image more alive and almost three dimensional.
The selected quotations that appear on every page lends more clarity to the mise-en -scene and action in the photographs.
Companies like the Gecko kids,Chell Medical, Vision Care and H.Savy contributed to help meet printing costs and transportation.
The NCC is well pleased with the end product. A beautiful desk calendar for 2012 which will go on sale as of now! Incidentally, 2012 is touted to be a year of mystery and drama, but the National Council for Children is hoping that 2012 will be a year which brings new opportunity, positive energy and new hope to every Seychellois for a happier Seychelles.
