Welcome to the NCC Website

The Seychelles Islands, situated in the Indian Ocean, 4 degrees South of the Equator, has a population of approximately 80,000 inhabitants, of which 33 percent is young people aged below 0 and 18 years. Over the years the National Council for Children (NCC), a Non Government Organisation, has been an active advocate for the rights of children and has been vocal in its denunciation of child abuse . It has also worked to raise-public awareness on issues related to children's well being.

Sweet Doses of Happiness at the ICCS with NCC

Happiness can be learned –and this is what the National Council for children  will try to share in the happiness conference being organized on the 22nd of May at the international conference centre , Victoria  to coincide with the launching of its Child Protection week under the theme “Be Happy –Make Seychelles Happy” . How do you do that ?  
How do you determine whether you are happy or not? At what point do you become happy?  Do you have to depend on circumstances or other people to be happy?   Is there some universal standard of Happiness?

Starting Tuesday 17th April:-
8.00 a.m. - 9.00a.m. –      Meditation
9.30 a.m. - 10.30 a.m. -    Reiki Healing  
1100 .a.m. – 12 noon -      Laughter Yoga

Confirm your participation by Monday 16th April-12 noon.
Contribute a fee of 25 rupees for the session you choose

NCC trains first group of children First Aiders at Pointe Larue School

A group of Students from Pte Larue primary school received their First Aid certificate this morning in front of parents, students and teachers after following a basic First Aid course at the head quarters of the National Council for Children –(NCC)
at Bel-Eau.
 
The course specifically designed and adapted for children at the specific request of the NCC was delivered by professional First Aid instructor Anne Rose Innes.
