Welcome to the NCC Website

The Seychelles Islands, situated in the Indian Ocean, 4 degrees South of the Equator, has a population of approximately 80,000 inhabitants, of which 33 percent is young people aged below 0 and 18 years. Over the years the National Council for Children (NCC), a Non Government Organisation, has been an active advocate for the rights of children and has been vocal in its denunciation of child abuse . It has also worked to raise-public awareness on issues related to children's well being.

Volunteer your time. Get involved with other parents in your community. Help vulnerable children and their families. Start a playgroup. Simple support for children and parents can be the best way to prevent child abuse. After-school activities, parent education classes, mentoring programs, and respite care are some of the many ways to keep children safe from harm. Be a voice in support of these efforts in your community.

Children in the Wilderness returns to North Island

From the  first till the  fouth of October , North Island, voted ‘No. 1 in the World, Best of the Best’ in the Annual Condé Nast Traveller Readers Awards, for the  third consecutive year closed its doors to paying guests to give a group of 35 disadvantaged Seychellois children the time of their lives.
