Welcome to the NCC Website

The Seychelles Islands, situated in the Indian Ocean, 4 degrees South of the Equator, has a population of approximately 80,000 inhabitants, of which 33 percent is young people aged below 0 and 18 years. Over the years the National Council for Children (NCC), a Non Government Organisation, has been an active advocate for the rights of children and has been vocal in its denunciation of child abuse . It has also worked to raise-public awareness on issues related to children's well being.

Parenting workshop on Praslin

A parenting skills workshop was held in Baie Ste Anne Praslin and was attended by 18 parents. The workshop was held at the Baie Ste Anne Primary School from 9.00am to 2.30 pm.

Statement and Report writing workshop

This workshop was held at the NCC on Wednesday 3rd April and was attended by the Psychology and Counselling team, the NCC Director, 6 representatives from  Social Department and one representative from Health.

Easter Party

Some twenty children between the ages of seven and ten years of age, attended an  Easter  party organized by the NCC in partnership with ISPC. The party was held in the NCC playground which was decorated with brightly multi coloured flags and balloons, thus giving the playground a very festive atmosphere.
